over and under by Alya Hessy

Over and Under is a performance work conceived and developed by Alya Hessy.

Alya is an artist busy with textile, body and text. As she explains in her own words ” I had a wild fantasy about two bodies turning into a pair of knitting needles, coming together and going apart, working a giant ball of wool into a delicate structure of loops. Thus, the body-knitting was born. ” 

Alya Hessy and Pavlos Marios Ktoridis came together when Alya was looking for a committed fellow artist to perform Over and Under is a series of scheduled performances in the Netherlands. Having Alya arriving with very solid  proposition and PMK having experience in choreography, staging and performance the two worked closely together for the execution and presentation of Over and Under. An intimate piece of work which together they staged in several venues.
